Does true love exist? Renowned director Alma Har'el seeks the answer to that life-question in three authentic love stories. Through a successful combination of fiction and reality she provides an elegant and original answer: an all-round experience only made stronger by the magnificent music of Flying Lotus. Actor Shia LaBeouf was so impressed he joined in as a producer.
In her long-awaited second full-length work, Alma Har'el chooses a story about people searching for the true meaning of love. She allows us to follow the relationship troubles of a disabled Joel and stripper Blake. Wil has a hard time raising his son, now that he found out he is not the biological father. Finally there is Victory, struggling with the painful divorce her parents are going through. Alma Har'el knows how to elegantly frame the complexity of love by using these stories as an example.
