Love Means ZeroJason Kohn

What do tennis greats like Andre Agassi, Venus and Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova have in common? They have all worked with quirky tennis coach Nick Bollettieri. A compelling and humorous documentary about the relentless desire to win.

Bollettieri became famous in the 1980s because of his unusual way of working, in which developing a winning mentality was key. Love Means Zero combines old footage from legendary tennis competitions with critical interviews with former pupils, employees and Bollettieri himself. The testimony of Boris Becker, who the tennis coach implored to defeat his arch rival Agassi, accentuates their disturbed relationship. A compelling film by director Jason Kohn (Manda Bala (Send a Bullet)), a complex but funny documentary about the highs and lows of Bollettieri's controversial career.
