In UteroKathleen Man Gyllenhaal

How do your experiences in the womb impact your later life? The groundbreaking documentary "In Utero" shows through interviews, cultural myths, popular movies and technological trends just how important your time in the womb really is.

With ‘In Utero’ American documentary filmmaker Kathleen Man Gyllenhaal presents an immersive, cinematic documentary that looks at one of the greatest mysteries of human life. What is life in the womb like and what is the lasting impact it has on the rest of our lives? The film does so on the basis of three questions: How are we made? Who are we? And why are we who we are? We are, after all, not just the result of a fusion of genes, but also of our environment.

By bringing together theories of epigenetics and biochemistry, interviews with doctors and psychologists and even the stories of The Matrix and Alice in Wonderland Gyllenhaal made a very interesting documentary about the origins of human life and seeks to answer many vital questions.
