Notes on Blindness: Into DarknessPeter Middleton, James Spinney

What if you suddenly go blind? A nightmare John Hull truly experienced when he lost his eyesight in 1983. Thanks to his audio diary we can partially experience how the world changes when you lose one of your senses.

Not one, but four directors, each combining their talents and different backgrounds, co-created this progressive project. Amaury La Burthe worked as a researcher for Sony and as an audio designer for Ubisoft. Arnaud Colinart tries to apply new technologies and interactive mechanisms to narrative works. Recently he contributed his talents to the TV series Peaky Blinders. Peter Middleton and James Spinney have been working together for some time on both fiction films and documentaries.

John Hull became blind in 1983 and decided to keep an audio diary in which he describes 'the world beyond the vision'. Notes on Blindness: Into Darkness is a virtual reality project based on the true story of John Hull, so you can vividly experience how it feels to lose your eyesight.
