Mystery of the Giant Birds
Bertrand Loyer France 2024 53 min.
Elephant birds of Madagascar and Moas of New Zealand may sound like creatures from a fantasy book, but these giant cousins of ostriches once really existed. Some weighed up to 800 kilos, others were nearly four metres tall. But they all had one thing in common: they could not fly. So how did these super-sized birds get to those remote islands, so far removed from each other?
