Zvi Elpeleg, the director's grandfather, was a military governor after the establishment of the state of Israel. He became responsible for controlling Arab citizens within Israel. The positive image Zvi always exuded slowly crumbles as the director learns more about his true deeds as an authority figure, both in his military and family life. As she uncovers family secrets, the personal and the political intertwine, and everything turns out to be about control. A deeply personal documentary that paints a portrait of a man and a country that has been constantly and obsessively concerned with controlling others.
