Do You Love Me
Lana Daher France, Lebanon, Germany, Qatar 2025 76 min.
A playful and personal journey through Lebanon's audiovisual past, composed entirely of archival material. A creative reconstruction of a fragmented history in a country without a national archive; a personal and collective history marked by joy and intimacy, but also by destruction and loss.

Using images and sounds from thousands of sources, the film leaps freely through time, weaving an emotionally layered portrait of Beirut and its inhabitants. Without fixed chronology, associative editing merges pop music, war-torn ruins, and everyday moments to evoke the soul of a city—vulnerable, resilient, and constantly evolving.
Filmmaker and multidisciplinary artist Lana Daher, based in Beirut, also made an online archive indexing the sources and materials behind the project —an effort to reintroduce Lebanese film heritage to local and international audiences alike.
