After decades of hard work, we should be rewarded with a life that consists of relaxing in the sunshine, gardening and golf. Unfortunately, that is not in the cards for all of us. An increasing number of elderly people are confronted with dementia. Some suffer from it themselves; others care for a partner who has the illness. Louis Theroux meets a few people who suffer from dementia and witnesses how it undermines the relationships with their loved ones and how the illness can radically change people’s personalities.
