The famous Rijksmuseum had announced it would close for five years for renovations. It turned out to be ten years. For that entire decade Oeke Hoogendijk filmed behind closed doors, capturing the construction issues, the priceless art collection and the people behind this art: the curators with their own vision, the directors who have to fight on many fronts, frustrated architects, angry cyclists and the caretaker, who keeps a close eye on "his" building.
