This remarkable film chronicles a violent feud between two rival Irish families of ‘travellers’. The conflict first started several decades ago and is literally taken outside. At regular intervals, members of both families face off in one on one bare knuckle fights. A referee oversees the illegal brawls. Director Ian Palmer followed both families for twelve years and paints a staggering but at times comical portrait of the brutal, primitive fights and of the importance of family honor in this traditional community.
