In the center of Ethiopia’s chaotic capital, Addis Abeba, lies a special orphanage named Little Heaven. One of its orphans, Lydia, has just turned thirteen. An exciting age as she can now transfer to the wing for the older children. She also finds out, however, why she ended up in the orphanage in the first place: she has HIV. Despite the bad news, Lydia does not give in to sadness. She wants to live and dream. Little Heaven is a tough and touching but never heavy-handed portrait about vitality and the willingness to fight.
