Nuclear NationAtsushi Funahashi

Since the sixties the inhabitants of Futaba have been receiving financial compensation for the proximity of the Daiichi nuclear power plant in Fukushima. But no fee or tax cut could ever compensate the consequences of the earthquake on March 11th, 2011. The entire town was covered in nuclear fallout and listed as a no-go zone. 1400 villagers, forever displaced, have been given shelter in an abandoned school about 250 kilometers away. Their suffering is the starting point for this critical film about the true cost of nuclear energy.
