In the slums of Douala (Cameroon), more than 1,000 families depend on a muddy source for their water supply. Together with the inhabitants artist Philip Aguirre turns this laundry and meeting place into an amphitheatre. Theatre Source now also brings - besides the vital water - poetry, beauty and pride in the daily life in this shantytown in Cameroon. Jan Decleir provides the voice of this inspiring documentary that recognizes the role of art and beauty as a basic human need.
