Lost and Found in ParisLaura Lamanda
The Lost and Found Office in the heart of Paris is the last resort for anyone who has lost something important in the city of lights. It takes some effort to find your things there: long queues, paperwork and a lot of patience for detailed descriptions. But the ultimate hope of recovering the lost object makes up for it all. The stories of the lost items and the circumstances in which they were lost offer a very intimate and surprisingly fascinating insight into everyday life.
The Lost and Found Service in Rue des Morillons. With a bit of luck, this is the place where things found in the Parisian streets and boulevards end up. This service keeps the most surprising objects lost and found in the metropolis. Many things are never claimed. Others are reunited with their relieved owners. They wait impatiently at the reception to pick up their belongings. But describing and finding lost items takes time and paperwork. Director Laura Lamanda softens the long wait by listening to the often moving stories behind lost objects.
