It is no coincidence that both channels are controlled by Putin, who does not shy away from pushing his personal agenda through all the way to the Russian living rooms. Russian-American director Maxim Pozdorovkin decided to make a film "that uses the news to tell a story without a single correct explanation." He does not take a stand, and he does not refute the broadcasts with facts. And this makes the criticism of Our New President all the more acute and effective. The untruths that the news anchors spew are so gratuitous that everyone, both viewer and director, can only watch stunned and speechless.
