Eating Animals

Christopher Quinn VS 2017 94 min.

The adaptation of the book by Jonathan Safran Foer is a wake-up call that makes you think about industrial meat production and the price that mankind, animals and nature pay for the consumption of cheaply produced animal source foods. Narrated by Nathalie Portman.

Jonathan Safran Foer wrote the book Eating Animals years ago. He wondered why we eat meat and explored the disconcerting world of the bio-industry. It is an industry that seems to produce endless quantities of meat and dairy products, without any critical reflection on the impact of consuming animals and the breakdown of traditional agriculture. The film illustrates Foer's search for the reason why we started eating meat. It offers, like the book, a long list of reasons to reduce our meat consumption and to restrict the production of animal source foods. ie te minderen en de productie van dierlijk voedsel aan banden te leggen.
