Three years ago, Jan Fabre was given the permission to handle the whole wing of the Louvre with his own designs, old and new. It was the very first time that the prestigious museumcollection would go on a confrontation with contemporary art, made by a Belgian. Jan Fabre au Louvre follows the hectic preparation of the exhibition, the opening and the responses of the worldpress. The documentary offers a unique vision behind the stages of one of the most important museums in the world and sketches a portrait of Jan Fabre as an artist and as a human being.
