Dimitri Van Zeebroeck followed J.M.H. Berckmans for seven months, one of Flanders most underestimated and authentic writers. It became a journey trough his soul, alongside the night side of Antwerp, his Grauwzone and his fears. A wandering alongside laundry salons, muggy performances en the ‘Barakcity’ in deep quiet. Jean-Marie H. Berckmans spoke literature en moved himself as a mixture of Crumb and Borroughs trough his own universe. Months after the accomplishment of this portrait, Van Zeebroeck found the writer dead in his apartment on 31st of August 2008.
