FAQ

Accreditations

1What are the requirements for accreditation?
If you a documentary or film professional, you are eligible to buy an accreditation pass. This includes all sales agents, distributors, production companies, buyers, commission editors, film school teacher and students (see below for information about a special rate). For individual film professionals, not connected to a known company and not related to a selected film at one of the previous DOCVILLEs, do give us a link to your filmography while requesting and/or send us a email beforehand at info@docville.be. If you are unsure whether you qualify, contact us.
2Are there special rates for film students or press?
Yes, fulltime FILMstudents get a € 15 reduction on the fee, contact your school or the festival for a special voucher code. Press that will cover DOCVILLE are typically eligible for a complimentary pass.
3Can I transfer my pass to someone else?
Unfortunately you cannot transfer your pass to someone else as the pass is strictly personal and will be asked to be presented (together with your ticket) at the ticket check. If you need to cancel your pass, please do it as quickly as possible and certainly before the start of the festival, mail us at info@docville.be.
4Can I buy a pass if I am not involved in the film business?
Our accreditation passes are only available for film professionals. Of course you are still very welcome to join us, almost all screenings and events are open for the general audience, even those who are mainly targeted at film professionals (like masterclasses, workshops, etc..). For some events a special invite is needed, this will be clearly indicated on the events page. However, there is an option for documentary film buffs: the festival pass! With a festival pass you can visit (almost) all screenings, events, masterclasses, etc... for free. It will also give you access to a "DOCVILLE presents" screening in Cinema ZED Vesalius, once a month from April till February (10 screenings in total). It will however give not access to specific advantages meant for film professionals like the online guest list, screening room and film contact data. => If you want to purchase a festival pass, click here.
5I am a filmmaker with a selected film at DOCVILLE, can I (and my team) get an accreditation pass?
Yes of course, all filmmakers with a film in the selection are eligible for a free accreditation pass for yourself and your team. As a rule of thumb we provide up to 4 passes for feature length films and 2 passes for short films. Contact us if you think this will not be enough. Next to passes, filmmakers can request extra (free) tickets for their own screening.
6Can I see films online?
For accredited guests, you are able to log in (on the right hand side of the page) with your accreditation code. If a screener exist, a green arrow will appear below the photo on the film detail page. Screeners are avaible 4 hours after the first premiere at the festival. Not all films are avaible online.
