Ponijao, Bayar, Mari and Hattie are born in four completely different corners of the world. This movie documents their first year growing up in Namibia, Mongolia, Japan and the United States, from their first day on the planet until the day they take their first steps. Without resorting to a narrator or interviews, this movie subtily exposes the great similarities between these four children, despite the massive differences in their culture and living circumstances.
