Because we are Visual, winner of the VAF Wildcard documentary 2010, explores the phenomenon of public video diaries. The internet is littered with an endless stream of micro-confessionals and intimate exposures, teenage angst and moody blues, broken hearts and shy minds looking for comfort and company. Without explicitly judging the vlogs and deeply personal YouTube-videos, the film makers expose what virtual reality is all about: love, attention and human contact.
