An introduction into the world of the experimental film by means of interviews, classic footage from archives and work from heavyweights like Stan Brakhage, Robert Breer, Jonas Mekas, Ken Jacobs and Peter Kubelka. Unlike the difficult image this genre carries with it, this is a very accessible film. Director Chodrov’s refreshingly no nonsense approach – even though he is himself an experimental film maker – creates a bigger understanding of something that is usually seen as very hermetic.
