Sol LeWitt, one of the most important American artists of the twentieth century, is considered an important pioneer of conceptual art. He believed that the idea behind an art piece was more important than its actual realization and decided to limit his art to the absolute minimum. In order to move forward, he felt, you had to go back to the bare essence. Director Chris Teerink tries to capture the strength of LeWitts conceptual thinking. People who knew the artist form the mirror that brings Sol back to life.
